Nectar and Viagogo Team up to offer loyalty programme

altViagogo UK just signed a deal with English loyalty card programme Nectar to allow Viagogo users to amass points when they buy concert tickets.

Viagogo developed what appears to be a White Label solution and this is the first time this kind of deal has been forged. The new Nectar ticket exchange is at http://www.viagogo.co.uk/nectar.

More than  half of UK households gather Nectar points via their grocery shopping at Sainsbury’s, booking a holiday at expedia.com or buying petrol at BP. The partners are hoping that they can drive more business to the Viagogo-powered service as a result of the new pact.

In the UK Music Press, Viagogo CEO Eric Baker said,

“It’s great to be working so closely with such a recognised and respected loyalty programme as Nectar and exciting to be the first secondary ticketing exchange to embrace a loyalty programme. Not only can we offer Nectar customers tickets to the best events the UK has to offer but they will earn loyalty points in the process – it’s a win-win situation.”

Nectar operations and digital director Roger Sniezek added,

“We are always looking at new ways for our collectors to earn Nectar points and this is another way in which collectors can boost their Nectar Points balance.”
