Manchester City Loses 92.6 Million Pounds

altManchester City the biggest annual loss ever reported by an English football club, recording a loss of 92.6 million pounds -  to May 31 2009

The figure, recently announced on the club's website (www.mcfc.co.uk) does not include last summer's 117 million pounds spending spree on Emmanuel Adebayor, Kolo Toure, Carlos Tevez, Roque Santa Cruz and Joleon Lescott.

This is all despite a rise in ticketing revenues that were ahead by 1.8 million pounds and TV revenues up 12 percent to 48.3 million pounds, mainly as a result of City's extended run in the UEFA Cup.
