Rugby Football Union and Six Nations Cup Heads Clash with Ticketmaster and Getmein Over Secondary Ticket Sales

The Rugby Football Union (RFU) is tackling the ticket industry...  since hundreds of secondary market tickets for England's upcoming Six Nations matches at Twickenham are up for sale on GETMEIN! which is owned by their RFU's official ticket distribution partner, Ticketmaster.



Officially, the RFU bans the resale of Twickenham tickets at a profit, and GET ME IN!, as well as other UK-based secondary ticketing sites Seatwave and Viagogo have hundreds of tickets listed by fans reselling their seats for healthy profits.Ticket prices range from £231 to £1,375,  while face value prices for the best seats at Twickenham seats officially cost £85.

According the UK press reports, the RFU are going as far as buying up tickets from the sites and say they will take strong action against suppliers.
