Second in the poll were Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, with $94.5 (65.5, £60 million), followed by Elton John/Billy Joel ($88, €60, £54.7 million). Britney Spears grossed $82.5 (€57, £51.3) million followed by AC/DC ($77.9, €54, £48.4 million). Also in the top 50 were the Jonas Brothers ($69.8, €48.3, £43.4 million), Miley Cyrus ($45, €31.1, £28 million), and Bob Dylan ($20.4, €14.1, £12.6 million). According to Pollstar: "For all of the financial troubles of 2009, the concert business had an up year. The numbers for the Top 50 tours were better, across the board, than for 2008. Last year, [Kenny] Chesney was the only artist to sell more than 1 million tickets. This year, U2, Springsteen, Chesney, Jonas Brothers, DMB and 'Walking With Dinosaurs' all topped the million mark." That's in line with Billboard's recent report showing concert business up worldwide, with a total revenue of $4.4 (€3, £2.7) billion, an increase of 12% over 2008.
