Mobiqa joins forces with Movie Tickets.

altMobiqa, a world leader in mobile barcode ticketing solutions, and Movie Tickets, which offers advance movie tickets, have announced a strategic relationship They plan to launch a mobile ticketing pilot program that will allow consumers to send their movie tickets directly to their mobile devices.

 

A number of Chicago cinemas are piloting the project, with tickets bought through Movie Tickets. Mobiqa say their patented Optimiser technology tailors content for the customer’s individual handset and delivery method to achieve unbeatable reach and quality. The company claims to have integrated with the best providers for scanners, kiosks and access control equipment.

Joel Cohen, executive vice president and general manager of Movie Tickets commented:

"The results of this program could certainly impact the future of movie going options.The paperless system will streamline the ticket redemption process by making it easier for both moviegoers and theatre staff."

Mobiqa currently offers mobile movie ticketing at locations across Europe and Australasia. Movie Tickets operates in the US, Canada, U.K, Ireland and Argentina.
