TicketNews and EU Ticket News Announce Content-Sharing Agreement for Coverage of Ticketing Industry

altTicketNews, the leading provider of comprehensive ticket industry news coverage and market analysis, and EU Ticket News, a pioneering news and opinion site in the B2B primary and secondary ticketing market in Europe, have announced a mutual content-sharing agreement between the two sites.

TicketNews publisher Allison Reitz and EU Ticket News publisher Richard Kastelein officially unveiled the agreement during a press conference at the Ticket Summit 2010 trade show and conference, held this week at the Waldorf=Astoria in New York, NY. The business relationship will allow the sites to exchange and publish news items relating to industry developments in both North America and Europe.

"The entire TicketNews staff is excited to work with Richard Kastelein and his expert team at EU Ticket News, a site that fills the need for in-depth coverage of the European market," said Reitz. "It is my hope that the relationship between our sites will not only extend a direct line of coverage between the two continents and our readerships, but also strengthen international awareness of developments in the ticketing industry."

"We look forward to working closely with the talented team at Ticket News, who have been a great inspiration for the development of our own publication," said Kastelein. "We appreciate the excellent coverage they continue to provide and felt that Europe needed a similar news portal to consolidate and further legitimize the industry, as well as provide a 'central station' for ticket and event industry professionals across the continent."

The agreement between the Connecticut-based TicketNews and Netherlands-based EU Ticket News comes at a pivotal time for the international ticketing market. The editorial boards of each Internet-based news agency will have unparalleled access and insight into an industry that faces various legislative changes and potentially game-changing corporate mergers.

"In Europe, ticketing is a hot topic. With the secondary market gaining legitimacy, high profile mergers creating waves and more artists committed to live events than ever before, the events and ticket industry is ripe for EU Ticket News, its very own news and opinion portal," said EU Ticket News' managing editor, Adriana Hamacher. "A close relationship with Ticket News, whose experience in the field is unsurpassed, is a huge advantage and gives us an enviable network of coverage across the globe."

"In our relationship with EU Ticket News, we will be able to offer our readers a truly global perspective on the ticketing industry," said Alfred Branch, Jr., managing editor of TicketNews. "As more overseas markets open up to ticketing, North American brokers and ticketing professionals will have the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the growing European market."
