| Seatwave Says It Sold 40,000 Tickets for U2 360 Tour to Fans in Over 100 Countries |

In a Series D Venture Capital infusion last year, Seatwave landed $17 million, led by Accel Partners with Atlas Ventures, Mangrove Capital Partners, Fidelity Ventures and Adinvest joining the round. Seatwave has now raised a whopping total of $53 million in Venture Capital in four rounds. In 2009, the company was named Europe’s fastest growing digital media company by investment bank GP Bullhound and was founded in 2006 by Joe Cohen, formerly with Ticketmaster and Match.com. Atlas Venture remains the largest shareholder. Other investors include Mangrove Capital Partners, Fidelity Ventures, AdInvest, Holtzbrinck Ventures, and Accel Partners. In rather sad news for the European Tech industry in general, Seatwave's largest backer, Atlas Ventures is pulling out of Europe after they did not meet their goal of 400 million for their next fund. The companies' London-based partner, Fred Destin, who led Atlas’s European investments in Seatwave and Dailymotion, was recalled back to Boston. According to VentureSource, European VC firms raised just $3.7 billion, 63% less than the $10.1 billion raised in 2008.
