Gorillaz Announce New Album - Clash, Reed, Simon Set to Play
altThe Clash, Lou Reed, Paul Simon and rapper Snoop Dogg are a few among many artists set to collaborate on animation band, Gorillaz’ new album.

The 'cartoon'  band which was created by  artist Jamie Hewlett and Blur crooner Damon Albarn – are  getting set for the release of new album ‘Plastic Beach’ and have joined with an array of
celebrities... including the like of Mos Def, De La Soul, Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys, and even The Fall’s Mark E. Smith. Commenting on the collaboration, Gorillaz frontman Murdoc told NME in the UK that:

"Leeching is the wrong word now isn't it? It's not like I've drawn blood or anything. No, I think the word 'coerced' sings the deal a little better. Although, yes, the coercion did come via chloroform and rohypnol."

The ‘Dare’ hitmaker insists their new album will be the best thing to happen to the music industry in a long time

“You can expect a warm, tingly feeling inside as you realise you haven’t actually been listening to music for a long while since… well since we released our last long player." he added

“All that other c**p out there is just landfill. Sonic landfill, in skinny jeans and stupid sunglasses.

Tour dates have not yet been announced. Tour? alt
