Seatwave appoints Eleanor Krivicic as General Counsel

Seatwave, one of Europe’s largest ticket marketplaces, has appointed Eleanor Krivicic as General Counsel. The move comes at an important stage in Seatwave’s growth as the company reaches profitability and continues its expansion into Europe. In her role Krivicic will report to Joe Cohen, founder and CEO.

In a new role for Seatwave, Krivicic will assume responsibility for all legal and compliance matters for the company which has become the leading ticket exchange since it launched in 2007. Communications efforts have created public confidence and growing acceptance of the secondary market and positioned Joe Cohen as a thought leader on the industry. Krivicic joins from Match.com where she spent seven years as the International General Counsel responsible for Europe, Japan and the Americas. In this role she managed and advised on issues and strategy from electronic commerce, corporate governance and consumer law to advertising and regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions and employment law.

Prior to joining Match.com Krivicic spent four years as a Corporate and Securities Associate at Hale and Dorr LLP (now WilmerHale) in Boston and Washington D.C. before moving to the UK.  In her role she represented high tech start-up companies on corporate and securities law matters, including venture capital transactions and several acquisitions.

Her commercial experience includes drafting and negotiating complex transactions including alliances with major web portals such as MSN, Yahoo, MySpace and Vodafone. Krivicic’s experience as an internet counsel from start-up to exit will help take Seatwave to the next level.

Eleanor Krivicic said: ‘I’m delighted to have joined Seatwave at such an exciting time in the company’s growth. With much experience in the formation of companies abroad I look forward to playing a key role in the company’s expansion and future success.”

Commenting on her appointment Joe Cohen, CEO and Founder, said: ‘We’re thrilled to have Eleanor join our team. Her previous legal experience will help in our development as we continue our expansion across Europe.’
