Paul Merton, Sean Lock and Milton Jones are also among other names appearing during the 10-day event which runs from May 6-16.
John Bishop said today: “The Liverpool Comedy Festival is a great platform for local and national comics to perform on and it’s brilliant to have such a lot of talent in the city in such a short space of time. The festival, now in its 9th year, will also feature comedy workshops, young people’s comedy nights. The finale will be the traditional Best of Liverpool Night at the Royal Court.
