| Paul McCartney Plans to Play at the Isle of Wight Festival |
According to festival organisers, Paul McCartney will headline this year's Isle of Wight festival and ex-Beatle will perform on the Sunday night of the festival at Seaclose Park, Newport, on June 13, 2010.The Isle of Wight show is slated to be part of his Up And Coming tour which offer five shows in the UK and Ireland. McCartney will also play the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Hampden Park, in Glasgow, Hyde Park, in London, and the RDS in Dublin. The famous artist played only one show in the UK in 2009, at London's O2 arena, as part of his European tour. This summer's shows will draw on music from throughout his career including Beatles tracks, songs from his Wings days, and tracks from his solo years, as well as music from his 2008 album Electric Arguments, which he recorded under the name of The Fireman.
