Live Nation Entertainment Defends Doubling Prices for Lady Gaga Gigs
altLady Gaga, much to the chagrin of many UK fans, recently announced details of new UK gigs for May and June along with rescheduled two shows. Tickets for initial dates on her tour, which kicked off in Manchester last month, started at £27.50 but tickets for the additional shows will set back fans between £50 and £75, BBC News reports.

Arthur Fogel, chairman of global touring at Gaga’s promoters Live Nation Entertainment, has defended the move. “Ticket prices for the previous dates were set long before the current Monster Ball show was developed,” he told BBC News. “Ticket prices are comparable and fair.” Lady GaGa had scrapped the live set-up she used for previous US shows, revamping for the UK audience. “What was a small arena/theatre production is now a massive, first rate arena production,” Fogel told the BBC.

The Live Nation website said the tour had been extended due to "overwhelming response". Tickets go on sale on 12 March.

The Brit-Award winner, known for hits such Paparazzi and Just Dance, will play Birmingham, London and Manchester in May and June - in the same venues she has already visited on the current leg of the tour.
