| Buy a World Cup Ticket and get a Free Visa! |
South Africa’s World Cup Organisers are now trying to attract foreign fans to buy World Cup Tickets by giving them a free visas to enter the country. Deputy Home Secretary Malusi Gigaba announced this last Tuesday. World Cup tourists will save about 42 Euros.
Gibaba is not concerned about tourists wanting to stay longer in South Africa after the World Cup. “As South Africans we welcome all the hundreds of thousands visitor to our country and we are absolutely not worried about them not wanting to go back to their countries,” said Gigaba. South Africa is expecting 200000 visitors on June 11th. Originally they were expecting 450000 World Cup tourists. South Africa is still readying itself however - the new transport system was inaugurated last week and President Jacob Zuma opened the expanded Airport in Johannesburg, where they can now handle more than 60 flights a day. There is also a new express train that runs between Sandton and Johannesburg and 570 buses that have to deal with traffic in the city itself. South Africa is now ready for the World Cup!
