Manchester Parklife Festival Sells Out Six Weeks in Advance

The organisers of the Parklife festival, in Manchester, north west England, say that even they are surprised by the huge demand which saw the Saturday event sell out six weeks in advance. Those lucky enough to have purchased tickets for the Saturday will see the likes of Friendly Fires, Calvin Harris, Magnetic Man and Booka Shade perform.

But limited tickets are still available for the first part of the Park’s centenary celebration on Friday June 11th, when former Stone Roses front man Ian Brown will take to the Platt Fields stage in front of 15,000 adoring home fans. The Friday line up also features a  handpicked selection of artists from James Lavelle’s revered UNKLE, to Bad Lieutenant, The Whip, Mike Pickering, Mr Scruff, Justin Robertson, Peter Hook and legendary Factory Records’ A Certain Ratio.

Tickets for ‘Ian Brown Live in Manchester’ are priced at £28.50 and available from Ticketline www.ticketline.co.uk, www.seetickets.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
