FIFA Organising Committee CEO Danny Jordaan’s brother is said to be benefiting financially from the World Cup, according to the South African press. He stands to gain more than €320,000 by the time his short contract ends in August.
The Mail & Guardian broke a story late last week reporting that Andrew Jordaan’s company was awarded a nifty contract by FIFA’s ticketing and hospitality service provider, Match, to act as a liaison in Port Elizabeth.
In 2007 it was reported that Andrew Jordaan also benefited from the tournament through his stake in
the Ibhayi Consortium which constructed the city's World Cup stadium. EU Ticket News has also reported that FIFA president Sepp Blatter’s nephew - Philippe - is a shareholder of Match Hospitality AG and has allegedly made millions.
