Turkish Crime Gangs Allegedly Tied to Scam Ticket Websites

altTurkish crime gangs have allegedly been setting up  'Hit-and-Run' ticketing websites and burning hundreds if not thousands of consumers, according to a recent article in the Daily Record in the UK.  The true numbers of victims will not be known until after the festival season.

Mum-of-two Kerrie Wheeler, 33, of Cumnock, Ayrsihre, had hoped to take partner Steven McGregor, 37, to T In The Park as a treat and told the Daily Record she paid £395 for weekend tickets back in February via worldwideticketstore.com. They emailed her back with a confirmation number and stated I'd she'd get tickets a few days before the event. She never got them.

A simple Google search on the name of the site might have saved her some problems... it leads right to a Safeconcerts page that specifically warns people that this site is a fraud. For anyone in the UK who believes they have been or could be swindled contact Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 and  go to www.actionfraud.org.uk/report_fraud and report the matter either online or via their telephone number.

Londoneventsandhospitality.com and Justheticket.uk.com are also allegedly tied to this gang.  Both sites are now down. They have simply disappeared taking peoples money and not delivering the tickets.
