| Viagogo and NME Ink Deal |
|
This is hot on the heals of Viagogo agreeing a similar contract with Bauer Media's Aloud.com ticketing platform yesterday to provide readers of Q, Mojo and Kerrang! with access to sold-out gigs and festivals.
NME publishing director Paul Cheal told Music Week: “NME’s audience is incredibly
passionate about live music so it was obvious we partnered with the
leading ticket exchange. This ticket exchange perfectly complements our
primary ticketing service while providing another safe purchasing option
for music fans.” Viagogo UK director Edward Parkinson stated: “NME is one of the most influential music media brands so we are delighted to be offering NME’s audience a secure place to find hard-to-get tickets; whether it is for big name acts playing at world class venues or breakthrough artists playing at intimate venues.” The Viagogo secondary ticket exchange partnership will also extend to other brands within the IPC Media group, including Loaded, Nuts and Uncut.
