Live Nation Entertainment To Offer Concert Listings and Ticket Sales in Apple's iTunes 10

alt Apple has announced that Live Nation Entertainment will sell the tickets and power the concert listings feature on iTunes 10. TechCrunch reports that the partnership is a logical step as Live Nation Entertainment "sold a grand total of 140 million tickets, promoted 21,000 concerts, partnered with 850 sponsors and averaged 25 million unique monthly users of its e-commerce sites."

Michael Rapino, President and CEO of Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:  LYV), stated:

"We are thrilled to power the concert listings feature on iTunes and deliver this new and simple way for millions of iTunes users to purchase concert tickets at Livenation.com and Ticketmaster.com. Our partnership with Apple is a key part of our strategy to empower fans with the greatest access to live entertainment."
