Cartoon band, the Gorillaz have announced details of UK tour, starting in late March and six locations are slated for gigs.The Gorillaz will play in Portsmouth, Bristol, Cambridge, Brighton, Birmingham and Lincoln and then head west, for their headline slot at Coachella in California, USA, in April.

dates in Glasgow, Aberdeen, London, Cardiff, Birmingham and Newcastle.
“It’s
going to be a spectacular and we can’t wait for all our supporters to
see the show,” the band said in a statement online

The Spanish live music industry alive and in good shape, according
to the Spanish Music Promoters Association (Asociación de Promotores Musicales (APM)). From 2000
revenue went from €69,9
million to €150,1 million in 2008 (115% more) and the number of spectators went
from 21.8 million to 33.4 million (34.8 per cent), according to recent press report in Spain, during a press
conference in late February in Madrid.
Live event offerings have
increased 50 per cent from the 71,045 of 2000 to the 144,859 in 2008. The APM Group has worked
with 39 different companies, including major international players such
as Dr. Music and Live Nation, which amounted to 80% of concerts of
all events organised by the private sector in Spain.

Q Magazine, in conjunction with Live Nation, will launch its first New To Q tour this May. The seven-date UK tour comes on the back of Q’s New To Q Sessions showcase gigs for emerging talent at London’s Tabernacle in January and features a three-band bill.
Geordie indie-rockers Detroit Social Club, the hotly-tipped Tiffany Page and London five-piece Goldhawks will tour the UK together – with the trek beginning in Manchester on 10 May and concluding in London on 18 May.
