| The XX have cancelled their Europe
tour after the death of guitarist Romy Madley Croft's father. Croft's dad passed away on Friday - no further details are available.
Concerts in France, Switzerland, Italy and Germany over the next week
are affected, reports NME.COM. The band has promised to make a further announcement about its
ongoing European tour.

| Nonesuch Records will release Natalie Merchant’s
new album, Leave
Your Sleep, on April 12 in the UK and the following day around
the world. The album is the culmination of six years of research and
collaboration and is, in Merchant’s words, “The most elaborate project I
have ever completed or even imagined.” It is her first studio album
since 2003 and her first for Nonesuch. To coincide with the release, she
has announced a European tour in May–her first in eight years–including
seven dates in the UK. Dates and venues are listed below.

Aerosmith says they will add more European dates to its summer itinerary to follow up the booking at the Download Festival in England, a spokeswoman told Billboard today.
With differences smoothed over between Steven Tyler and his band - Aerosmith will appear at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 10 in Solvesborg.

| The Wâldrock Metal Festival, in the
north of the Netherlands, will not be held this year due to financial
problems. The organisers of the festival said that facilities,
safety
management and artists are becoming too expensive for the
relatively
small festival.They said:
“Apart from that, there is a lot of competition from three day Metal Festivals in Belgium
and Germany. But in the next few months we will
consider an eventual relaunch of the festival.”

| German singer Nena has been on stage for over 25 years now, but is showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, the granny of German Rock will turn 50 in April and is about to go on tour again. She will visit Germany, Switzerland and Austria and give a total of 12 shows.
