| John Giddings, the Isle of Wight Festival organiser, has announced he has again held back 1,000 tickets for purchase just before the event begins at Seaclose - at the gate - in an effort to create an environment where secondary ticket sellers at the event, won't find a market to sell. It is the second year running that he has put the scheme into operation.
Giddings told the Isle of Wight Gazette: “The one thing I hate is driving along Fairlee Road and seeing touts selling tickets for the Festival at inflated prices, and making money out of me. So I have decided to hold back 1,000, which will be on sale near the site entrance on a first-come, first-served basis.”

Chris Brown has apparently been forced to cancel his European tour this coming summer due to denial of entry into the UK. It's not known whether his felony record is the reason behind his visa application rejection but it likely as he's still on probation which probably triggered UK immigration authorities to lock the gate on him. The tour was supposedly going to start this coming Wednesday, June 9, in Glasgow, but Brown has informed fans via his Twitter page that the show is off.
He tweeted: “SORRY to all the fans in Europe!!! My tour is cancelled. I’m pretty sure ya’ll know. My entry was denied in your country. I love you. SORRY.”
