Manchester Parklife Festival Sells Out Six Weeks in Advance

The organisers of the Parklife festival, in Manchester, north west England, say that even they are surprised by the huge demand which saw the Saturday event sell out six weeks in advance. Those lucky enough to have purchased tickets for the Saturday will see the likes of Friendly Fires, Calvin Harris, Magnetic Man and Booka Shade perform.

Pink Wounded Shooting Video for European Tour

altPink hurt herself “a lot” while filming scenes to accompany her live performances this summer. The footage includes her motocross racer husband Carey Hart and her in a bumblebee costume. She tweeted:

"Long days shooting new tour video. it's gonna be amazing though!!!! i hope all my european friends like it:) cause it hurt. a lot (sic)."

FIFA Reveals Final Line-Up for World Cup Concert
FIFA have announced the final line-up of African and South African artists confirmed to perform at the World Cup Celebration Kick-off Concert.

Freshlyground, Hugh Masekela, Mzansi Youth Choir, Soweto Gospel Choir, and K’NAAN, who recently recorded the uplifting "Wavin' Flag (The Celebration Mix)" song  that serves as the anthem for the Coca-Cola FIFA campaign, will perform alongside previously announced African and international artists – Alicia Keys, Amadou & Mariam, Angélique Kidjo, Black Eyed Peas, BLK JKS, John Legend, Juanes, Shakira, The Parlotones, Tinariwen, Vieux Farka Touré and Vusi Mahlasela - at the historic event taking place the night before the first match at 20:00 local time on June 10, 2010, at the newly-renovated Orlando Stadium in Soweto/Johannesburg.
