Gorillaz to play First London Concerts since 2001

Cartoon Collective Gorillaz have announced two live shows at London's Camden Roundhouse on 29 and 30 April.

The gigs will be the group’s first shows in the capital in nine years and their first full UK performance since Demon Days Live at the Manchester Opera House 2005.

The Cranberries to Perform in Italy - Summer Tour Announced
130From Heineken Jammin' Festival 2010 to Rome on July 5 and Turin the July 8, the Irish rockers, the Cranberries plan to spend the high summer in Italy, jammin' in the sun! And fans will likely get a taste of some fresh material since the Irish band have not done any studio work since 2001.

Madrid lands 2010 MTV European Music Awards

Madrid will host the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards ceremony on November 7, organisers said last week. It will be the second time the annual event has been held in Spain after Barcelona in 2002.

Boyzone to go on Back on Tour in 2011 - First Since Death of Stephen Gately
Boyzone have just revealed details of their 'Brother' tour which be taking place in Spring 2011.

The Irish boy band are currently celebrating their latest Number 1 album, Brother (the sixth album of their seventeen year career), and have announced 12 UK dates starting in February next year, their first tour since the tragic death Stephen Gately in October.

Belgrade to host 2010 MTV Awards?

The Serbian capital, Belgrade, may be chosen to host the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) in 2010, according to Thomas Ehr, Executive Director of the MTV Europe Foundation. Ehr, interviewed by Serb paper Blic, said Serbia is more than capable of organising such a show and spoke of the advantages to the country:

"Regardless of what it might cost, host cities always benefit from organising the event. For example, after hosting the 2003 show, the Scottish capital of Edinburgh collected revenues of €13 million, not including the prestige and promotion that came with hosting the event.”
